The Pumori Singing Bowl resonates strongly with fabulous low tones when gently tapped by a mallet. It has a dense vibration when made to sing. The undertones can be felt within the body.
The thickness of the metal helps provide a long sustain.
Mount Pumori:
"Pumori" Mountain, which means "Unmarried Daughter" in the Sherpa language, was named by George Mallory. Climbers sometimes refer to Pumori as "Everest's Daughter". She stands at the top of the Khumbu valley, on the border between Nepal and Tibet. White and sweet as an ice cream cone, this pyramid shaped mountain (23,495 feet tall), lies just eight kilometres west of Mount Everest.

I like everything about the bowl. The color, the timbre, the long length of resonate tone after a striking. It feels good to the soul. The ring pillow supports the bowl well and the striking mallet is of good quality and feel. I’m glad I found this company and spent a little extra for a larger bowl.

I can't even begin to express how much I love the new bowls. This whole experience has been fantastic, Andrew gave great tips while I was choosing, sent a wonderful video of the bowls singing prior to mailing, and there was an extremely fast turnaround from when I started the process.
