Why a Conch Shell on a singing bowl?
Well, it is an important symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism!
In Hindu mythology, the shankha is a sacred emblem of Vishnu. The shankha is praised in Hindu scriptures as a giver of fame, longevity and prosperity and the cleanser of sin and impurities.
The Conch Shell is blown at the beginning of almost every Hindu ritual in Hinduism.
It has also found its way into Buddhism, as there is consideration that Buddha was one of Vishnu's incarnations. The shankha is one of the eight auspicious symbols of Buddhism, also known as Ashtamangala, and represents the pervasive sound of Buddhism.

GREAT SONDING BOWL-THANKS
Tibetan Singing Bowl
I am in love with this Singing bowl! The sound has a nice low pitch that's calming and relaxing. Plus the vibration is nice and strong when playing the bowl. This is definitely a five star bowl!
Tonality & Resonance...
Excellent tonality and rich resonance. Sounds last and don't quickly fade and the it is easy to make the bowl sing.
Singing bowl
It is fair. The bowl sounds good when you tap it but it does not sing very well when you move the pestal around the bowl. The cushion was not level, large enough or sturdy so the bowl falls off the cushion when you try to make it sing. I emptied the filler and replaced with rice-but not sure that is good either. I would return it but I changed the cushion. Very disappointed.
Love this bowl
